First Baptist Moncton has a long history of quality music programming and it is one of the only Protestant downtown churches that includes a 45 voice choir as a part of weekly worship.
This choir has presented music in the classical style of the masters but is equally comfortable in presenting selections from jazz to southern gospel. It prepares for 40 services a year plus special occasions
The choir is blessed to have the committed leadership of Dr. Brian Ellard as director and Suzanne McGillivary as assistant director/accompanist.
The offering of the choir is enhanced by the world famous Casavant Fréres organ. This 35 stop instrument was build in 1915 and has provided continuous service in worship. It is colourful, bright and powerful and adds an awe inspiring dimension to worship.
We welcome new choristers who wish to "make a joyful noise unto the Lord".
