First Moncton

First Baptist Moncton offers a music program which is diverse in nature and comprehensive in scope. Through vocal choirs, worship bands, hand bell and hand chime ensembles, individuals are encouraged to give their musical best to the Lord through leadership in worship. We advocate a 'non-audition' approach for all areas of our music ministry. A love of serving the Lord through music is the essential requirement.

Brian Ellard loves choral music and has spent a lifetime perfecting his talent.  He is a music educator, a conductor, composer and performer.  He directs the 45 voice sanctuary choir at First Baptist in presenting music from the masters to modern composers.  His goal is to present Christ high and lifted up in worship. Brian is married and the father of two adult sons and he loves to play golf.

Suzanne McGillivary is our church organist and assistant director of the sanctuary choir. She is a versatile musician and she feels at home on the powerful Casavant Fréres organ, piano-fort or digital keyboard.  She performs is a disciplined style and she brings life to every service. She feels at home with Bach’s Toccata or Broadway songs so performs with great versatility.  She is married and the mother of two children.
