WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT? …Have you ever wondered what it means to be a Christian? What’s the difference to be a Baptist?

Plan to join us in January for Class 101 when we explore the answers to these & other questions. This class is for seekers & new Christians but is also good for those who want to get back to basics. No Biblical or church knowledge is assumed.

Please sign up on the sheet outside Pastor Richard’s office so we may prepare enough materials.

Where Were You At The Cross?

“The gowned 50 voice choir of First Baptist Church, assisted by the 35 stop Casavant Frères Organ presents: “Where Were You At The Cross?" on Good Friday.

This solemn, thought provoking performance uses the music of Stainer, Handel, Dubois and others to encourage us to assess ourselves as we participate in Passion Week.

Visit with us on April 2 at 3:00 o’clock.”

Mere Christianity

The Other Side of the Bridge - 11:00 am Mere Christianity Join us immediately after the Bridge service, at approximately 10:30 am Sundays for a small group study of the book Mere Christianity. This book brings together C.S. Lewis's legendary broadcast talks made during World War II in which he sets out simply to explain and defend basic Christian beliefs. Lewis was for many years an atheist until his conversion when he describes himself as " perhaps the most dejected and reluctant convert in all England". It was this experience that helped him understand apathy and active unwillingness to accept religion and in this book he compels readers to seriously examine the Christian faith. The small group starts February 21st in the parlour on the second floor of the C.E. building. Call John Crompton for more information at 858-0242.
